Fretless
Fretless is my own concept of a custom bass guitar with a single top (several wood options). It has a chambered body and an ebony fingerboard. The Zakrzewski Basses Fretless does not featue an active EQ. It uses the RMC Piezo/Magnetic blender, that treats the Piezo actively and the mag pickup passively. The controls consist of two Volume pots and two passive tone pots. Also, the instrument comes standard with two jack outputs. This way, you can mix your sound using two amplifiers separately for the piezo and the magnetic pickup. The pickups are Merlin for Zakrzewski signature magnetic splitcoil and RMC piezo. Of course, you can play using only the top output and mix your signal using the volume/blend knobs. Every Zakrzewski Bass comes with a gigbag as standard.

The bridge I use was designed by myself, from the ground up, to fit my design specifically.
The bridge is made of hard aluminum (PA6) or brass. In the aluminum version, it comes in a black finish and weighs 0.14 kg (5 strings).
The brass version comes in a gold or silver finish and weighs 0.4 kg (5 strings).
The saddles of the bridge are made of brass and the rod on which the string rests is a very dense type of steel, used for manufacturing bearings.
Each bridge is designed to accommodate RMC’s piezo saddles in the future. So you can upgrade ANY Zakrzewski bass to a piezo option with NO ADDITIONAL DRILLING REQUIRED.
The string spacings at the bridge are 20mm for 4-string, 18.3mm for 5-string, 18.5mm for 6-string and 17mm for 7-string.

In the Zakrzewski Basses project, we most often use the Aguilar OBP3 preamp with the possibility of Boost/Cut HI / Mid / Low regulation, and a switch for the Mid frequency range – 400/800 Hz.
I’ve co-designed my own pickup designs with Merlin Pickups, which are available in both SingleCoil and DualCoil versions for fretted basses and a custom SplitCoil Single for the fretless Exclusive model.

The Zakrzewski Module is a plate located on the top of the instrument with the switches and the Output Jack(s).
It had been designed to facilitate future upgrades of the instrument.
It is a replaceable element, I can add Output Jacks and/or switches without interfering with the structure of the instrument, simply by making a new Module plate and replacing the old one.

Shipping is not included in the base price, it is calculated individually during the ordering process.
The main condition for a bass build to get started is a 40% down payment, calculated from the price that was agreed upon.
The completion time varies around 3 months, starting with the down payment being received by me.
My instruments come with a limited warranty:
Electronics (pots, preamps, pickups, switches) are covered with a 2-year warranty;
Hardware (tuners and bridges) are covered with a 5-year warranty;
The build itself (all of the elements made of wood) is covered with a 10 year warranty.
The warranty in all aspects begins with the original (1st owner’s) purchase date.
